Jason Spears family peace/support

My name is Lisa Peppers and I live in St. Louis Missouri.  I’m establishing this gofundme campaign on behalf my dear cousin Shauna Zneidi, and her family who reside in San Bernardino California. Shauna’s youngest son, Jason Spears  was walking to a local gas station in his neighborhood, along with his cousin, and best friend, Terrance Spears Sunday evening on March 13, 2016.  They were victims of a fatal drive-by that resulted in Jason’s death, and injuries sustained by Terrance. Being a mother with two sons, I can’t begin to imagine the heartbreak that Shauna is experiencing, and the long journey that is ahead of her to find peace, and understanding with this. Shauna has three sons,  Alex 19, and Shaun 16, Jason was her youngest son that was brutally taken away from her, his father, and his brothers in the prime of his young precious life. I’m not able to be with her during this difficult time in her life, but, I just can’t sit back and do nothing while she suffers emotionally, mentally, financially, and spiritually.  I pray that this campaign can ease the sting of the sudden financial crisis that she’s dealing with along with the death of her son.  Shauna is needing assistance with paying for funeral expenses, and relocation expenses. She lives in an area known for gang violence, and she’s desperate to leave, and protect her two living sons. She will also need funding to support any needs for counseling for her family members. Our young sons go through so much, and I can’t begin to think of what Alex and Shaun are going through internally.  Shauna has an immediate need for funding to cover any upfront costs for taking care of the remains of her son, Jason. Terrance, Jason’s cousin is also in desperate need of funding for medical costs, counseling, and any  physical therapy that may be needed as a result of his injuries. Our goal as a family, and community is to raise $20,000 dollars for Shauna, her children, and Terrance before April 30, 2016.  Not much to ask at all on behalf of a person, who will never get to hug or tickle her young boy again. Who will never get to tell him every day that people are still good and you can be anything you want to be when you grow up. She will never  again hear him run through the halls, or laugh, or say that a vegetable is yucky. Or marvel at the way that he plays sports, or dream about his future wife and kids.  All of the things that mothers of sons look forward to everyday, has been taken away from her.  Please find it in your heart to give, whatever you can, and spread the message. Let’s try to make this right, and give Shauna and her family some peace of mind. We, her extended family, will be truly grateful. We have raised $1,395 so far and are extremely grateful. Much more is needed and we are well on our way. Shauna and her family members are healing, but, are still in great need of financial resources.
