Blessings for Pastor & Jacquie Mahlum

My name is Katherine Parrish, and my father is Rev. Dean Mahlum. He has served as a pastor for 32 years, serving mainly the congregations of Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Waconia, MN and St. John Lutheran Church of Hollywood in New Germany, MN. In December he was diagnosed with diverticulitis, which he has a history of struggling with. He was given an antibiotic, but had an allergic reaction to it and the replacement antibiotics. This somehow has caused swelling in his throat which has not significantly gone down since. After months of treatment in Waconia, no progress was made and he was referred to the Mayo Clinic in April of 2019. Unfortunately, my mother suffers from Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease and is unable to work or care for herself on her own, which has presented some struggles both financially, emotionally, and with coordinating appointments in Rochester, MN (2.5 hours from our home). As such, Trinity and St. John have chosen to bless our family through generous donations to help us through this time. We are SO grateful for our church families and are so grateful to anyone who chooses to help us through the opportunities Trinity and St. John have provided. Thank you, and God bless!
