Introduction
Hello there everyone!
My name is Caitlin. To tell a bit about myself, I am a recent college grad with a Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Design. I am visually impaired. I have a genetic form of Macular Degeneration called Stargardt's Disease. Becoming a designer with this visual hindrance has only taught me to work harder to accomplish my goals. I might do things differently, but I get them done.
What I Do
Since graduation, I have thrown myself into work on starting a business called Dolly Dagger Adornments . I hand make jewelry, perfumes, and candles. Over the years I have learned alternative ways to sew and create. Often I rely primarily on feel. My design process is likely different from most, but I like to think it gives me a unique perspective.
What I Need
When my Etsy shop launched, I was so excited! Unfortunately, progress has been slow. In order to improve, Dolly Dagger Adornments needs to grow. My mind is constantly racing with ideas of new products and designs. I would love to be able to utilize my degree and introduce apparel. I have visions of selling at art fairs, conventions, and the like. The problem always ends up being funds. My dream is to eventually be able to open a brick and mortar boutique for Dolly Dagger Adornments. To accomplish that, I need to be able to expand my product ranges, advertise, and gain loyal customers. The only thing standing between me and that goal is the fundoing to do so.
I Appreciate You!
At this time, I would like to thank you so very much for taking the time to read this! If you should decide to contribute to making my dreams a reality, I want you to know how deeply I appreciate it. Starting a new business these days is difficult, and even more so for a woman with a disability. Thank you again for your time and support!
