Blind runner runs Vegas marathon!

Donation protected

Disabilities should NEVER hinder a person’s #success.

Do you agree?

Then I need your help, your communities help, and any one you know, to join me in raising $10,000 for athletes with disabilities in Canada!

Let me give you a little bit of a background, and why I truly believe in equitable opportunity in competitive sports.

I act as a guide runner for Achilles Canada and Richard Holloway, a blind runner who has run over 30 half marathons himself! As his guide runner, I ensure that Richard has direction in the race, #motivation, and a helpful hand around some of the more difficult bumps, holes, and elevations along the race.

This November, on Remembrance Day, we are running the #VEGASMARATHON! But, we both don't have the ability to afford the entire trip, or fundraise for other #athletes with disabilities.

So Richard and I decided to 'up the ante' and create an incredible initiative to shed light on the life that blind runners, and athletes with disabilities live day in and day out.

On MARCH 18th, in Toronto, Ontario, I will be running the #Achilles St. Patrick’s Day 5K Race blindfolded!

I want to step into the shoes of a blind runner, and see some of the #challenges that they experience FIRST HAND.

I invite you to come out and cheer Richard and I on throughout the race!

The funds raised for Achilles Canada will go to support athletes with disabilities with:

1. New running attire

2. Entry fees for competitions

3. Training programs

4. The opportunity to compete competitively

This is where Richard and I need YOUR help with our #goal of $10,000:

1. 80% ($8000) will go to #Achilles Canada Chapters to support local athletes with disabilities.

2. 20% ($2000) will go to our tickets, and expenses to be a part of the Vegas Marathon.

With your support, we can TRULY be able to #positively change an athlete with disabilities life.
