Make A Difference By Supporting Block Parole Inc.
Block Parole Inc. was established in 2004 after we discovered the case of three-year-old Laura Skinner. Laura was brutally raped and beaten to death by her mother's boyfriend. Her killer was paroled without notification and no one opposed his parole.
For over 17 years we have been helping violent crime victims and their families navigate the parole system . We guide and support our victims/ victim's families through the complicated parole process and strive to ensure justice is served. We also allow the public to make a difference by submitting confidential petitions to voice their oppostion to the release of violent offenders. To date we have helped keep over 100 violent offenders in prison. While we do work predominantly in Ohio we now accept cases from all 50 states.
We are not a 501(c)3 organization so donations to our organization are NOT tax deductible. We made this decision to ensure we can act in the best interest of our victims, their families, and our supporters. We seriously considered becoming a 501(c)3 organization when we started our work however the government restrictions that would have been imposed on us would have greatly limited our ability to effectively advocate for victims and their families. Filing for tax-exempt status would have prohibited us from advocating for victim's rights laws and also prohibited us from exposing elected officials who are not acting in the best interests of the victims and the public. While this decision has made it difficult for us financially we feel it is more important to do the right thing rather than make money. We are funded solely by donations from our generous supporters who believe in our mission.
We appreciate your support and promise you that 100% of your donation will go directly to assisting victims and their families. Thank you for making a difference.
