Boat repairs for Philippine Family

The Lazaro family lives on the island of Palawan in the Philippines. They have a boat which is the main means of transport which is need of repair.
The boat will be used to comute to the nearest town, assist other community and family members, fishing, going to church and bringing goods in and out to their remote location.
Regi Lazaro is a volunteer boatman for the local school boat (see picture).
Although I envy where they live (paradise) they have very limited icome of around $150 per month and both work very hard to earn income. It is well beyond their means to have the boat repaired. IWe have become good friends with the family and I thought we could help with the assistance of a few friends to get this boat repaired and refurbished so it is safe and will last for years.
They have no bank accounts but we will collect the money and send it to them via the local ways of sending cash. When repaired we will update the photo of the repaired boat.
In this campaign we are not asking for large donations, just $10 or $20 dollars so it is affordable for everyone.
Having a boat is essential in their location and this would have a huge impact on their lives.
Many of you have assisted us with our annual Angat Christmas appeal and our education sponsorship programs. We do not wish to burdon anyone but having spent a few weeks with this family I realised we can and should help. They never asked of anything and have the most generous spirit to everyone that they meet and are always heping others.
