My name is Bobbiidean, I am 23 years old and throughout my life, I’ve been diagnosed with a multitude of crippling and incurable illnesses including Endometriosis, Interstitial Cystitis, Epilepsy, Panic Disorder, PTSD, and Pyelonephritis. As many other sufferers can attest, dealing with several severe illnesses at once can be extremely mentally and physically taxing, so I’ve had to discontinue my work and studies in favor of focusing all of my energy into fighting these diseases. In addition to my aforementioned diagnoses, I still exhibit gastro-intestinal symptoms that several doctors have yet to determine the cause of. After going through several evaluations, I’ve finally managed to schedule an appointment with a specialist at UCSF, but i am self pay due to insurance issues. This appointment and several other appointments with doctors monitoring my other health conditions are unfortunately quite a distance away from where I live, so making travel arrangements can be very difficult. I need help to live, to eat the way my health requires, and to be able to afford gas to make these crucial appointments. Also, I have to pay for counseling out of pocket, As well as the root canal I need done but medical cant pay for. I don't have any family to rely on and all of my friends are busy tending to their own families, working, or going to school. Emotionally supporting me is tough for all of them as they don’t really understand the full extent of what these illnesses have and continue to put me through. I feel as though only my fellow “spoonies” can relate to what this feels like. There's a way you can help though; It’s a great place to start if you don’t know where to. I need stability in my life and I am on my 6th appeal to the Social Security Disability Insurance program, praying to be approved by this time next year. I don’t usually ask for help but I prayed about it and I cant do this alone. I’m not asking for you to put yourself out by helping, but even <5 dollars adds up.
