Support Mexico Earthquake Relief
Donation protected
Mexico was hit by consecutive earthquakes over the past fortnight. Hundreds have lost their lives and brigades are still rescuing people. Thousands are in urgent need and have lost their homes, savings, and most importantly, their loved ones.
This is a student led initiative to mobilize the community of the Greater Boston Area to rebuild our country. We represent students at Babson, Boston University, Berklee College of Music, Harvard, Hult, MIT, Northeastern University, Suffolk, Tufts, and others. We also represent hospitals, community organizations, working professionals, and Mexican-Americans in the area. This is how we want to help:
Civil society in Mexico has been phenomenal at providing, coordinating, and supporting emergency aid and resilience of affected communities. This is the beginning of a long road of community building and coming together as a nation.
We are fundraising for two different Mexican NGOs focused on rebuilding these communities: Un Techo Para Mi Pais Mexico A.C. (Techo) and Centro Operacional de Vivienda y Poblamiento A.C. (Copevi) We believe that this dual approach for relief is the best use of our resources, networks, and expertise from afar. Funds will be equally split between these organizations.
Accountability and transparency are key core values of our group and our work. We will post the receipt from the donation on our GoFundMe page. Funds will be withdrawn and transferred to beneficiary organizations by Michelle Infanzon.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at [email redacted]
