Updated:   our 12 year old daughter with ulcerative colitis has been a test dummy for medications trying to get her bleeding under control she has had a blood transfusion when she was at mayo clinic.  She was on double doses of remicaid every two weeks when it is a one dose every eight week ed.We are now at Fargo childrens hospital for surgery to have her entire colon removed the first of three surgeries,  she will have an illeostomy (colostomy bag).   This is going to be a long couple months until all three surgeries are complete. If you can find it in your heart to help with travel food and buying her gifts to brighten up her day a bit I appreciate all the help but most of all please pray for my baby girl!

Our 12 year old daughter kaylee is at the mayo clinic. She has been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.  She is currently fighting for her life, she is bleeding large amounts every time she poops.  her body is not responding to treatments thus far,  they have tried a few steroids with no response, and she is to weak at this time for surgery so they need to shut off her immune system and hope she starts to heal. If she responds she can keep taking the injection of remicaid every 8 weeks which is $10,000 each injection or have the surgeons  go in and remove her colon and some of her intestine.  She may end up with a colostomy bag if able to go through with surgery. she has had a blood transfusion already, she will need more. If she does not respond to the medication to power off her immune system and does not regain strength.  There isn't much more that could be done except keep her hospitalized and comfortable as possible  We are 9 hours from home and need all the help possible financial and spiritual
