Bradie Tennell U.S. Figure Skating

Bradie Tennell, 18, of Carpentersville, Illinois, is a member of the World Team and Team USA representing U.S. Figure Skating and Wagon Wheel Figure Skating Club in Buffalo Grove, IL. She placed 6th at Nationals in Minnesota in January 2016 and received nationwide media attention for her accomplishment, which catapulted her a place on the World Team . In March 2016, she placed fourth at a world skating event in Hungary.           She has been skating since she was 2 1/2 yrs. old and by age 5 knew she would like to skate in the Olympics one day. This meant skating 6 days per week year round while completing homeschooling. After all her years of non-stop hard work and training, and earning her way to the National level for the last 8 years, in January 2015, Bradie skated her way to be the 2015 U.S. Jr. Ladies National Champion. As part of Team USA in 2014 leading up to the National Championships Bradie competed in Val Gardena, Italy placing 3rd and Nagoya, Japan placing 8th. Bradie skated her way to first place finishes in numerous other competitions throughout the country. She is well on her way to becoming a possible contender for the U.S. Olympics one soon day. However, Bradie now needs financial assistance to help her get through the next few competitions coming up. Bradie represented the U.S.A. in Linz, Austria September 8-13 2015 skating in the Junior Grand Prix event.     Her mom, a nurse, and single mother of three,  continuously struggles financially to cover reoccurring monthly costs related to training, boarding, ice time, and coaching fees and has exhausted all family funds to keep her kids afloat and a roof over their heads.  Bradie is almost there and can't miss all the coming opportunities to skate and represent the U.S. Not after all her training and years of dedication.
