Thank you so much for taking a moment and allowing me to share this dream God has placed on my heart. As my family and I take this step of faith, we are excited to invite you along for the journey.
My Pastor recently preached a message that spoke about making room for the power of God to move in our lives. He shared the incredible story of the woman, found in 2 Kings Chapter 4, and her jars of oil. The oil, which represents the power of God, continued to flow as long as there were jars available to contain it. So, as long as she provided more jars, the oil kept flowing. It was in the middle of this message that God spoke to me very clearly. He told me:
“Brandon, ask me for something. Ask me for something you’ve been afraid to believe me for. Ask me for an opportunity to see my power displayed. Ask me for a jar!”
Strangely, but not surprisingly, I knew exactly what He was saying. I have had something on my heart for a very long time, however my fear, doubt, uncertainty, and hosts of other deterrents, have kept me from pursuing this very dream. Typically, I would wait for clarity to see if this was truly from God, but this time was different. His voice was clear. So, immediately I stepped out in obedience and made the big ask:
“God, give me new songs to create my own album.”
My dream is an album. Around the end of 2014 I started to feel a shift happen in my writing. I have found myself writing almost every day and every night. I have even experienced dreams where God gave me songs and I would wake up in a rush to write them down. In this same season, the Lord has started to reveal more to me about my dream to see revival rise through the songs He is placing on my heart. In response, one of my greatest prayers has been to see revival take place in my time here on earth, and that God would somehow use me to play a part. However, I know that if I want to see revival take place, it has to start with me.
As I mentioned, God has been speaking very clearly to me in my writing. It’s as if I have been able to reach into heaven and pull them down, causing me to carry a posture of personal revival and a hunger for his presence. I can hear so the Lord clearly telling me to capture these songs that He has been birthing in me. Creating an album of these God-given songs is my personal pursuit of revival. I desperately want to see people encounter the presence of God, and I believe one of the easiest, most powerful ways can be through His gift of music.
I am asking you to partner with me, by helping me recording these songs in the studio this year. Producing an album is extremely hard work and very expensive to do the right way. I’m praying for $25,000. It’s very important to me that this project is worked on by the elite in the professional industry. The difference between a budget of a $5,000 album, and a fully supported $25,000 album, is monumental. God told me to ask for something bold, so I have every intention of working boldly to make this album the right way.
I will be working with one of the best (if not the best) studios in the country to get the absolute best product. They know my heart and my vision and are so excited to get this project started.
