Brenda Andrews, our friend and co-worker, has been suffering from chronic pain for a year.
She has seen multiple doctors and sought out numerous medical options in search for a diagnosis desperately trying to find the source of her pain. The treatments she received were not effective, and her symptoms worsened.
In October of 2018 her condition became more severe, only allowing her to work on an intermittent basis. On 04/23/2019 Brenda was in debilitating pain and was rushed to the ER by her sister. At this time, Brenda was given the preliminary diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. In an effort to confirm this ER diagnosis, her medical providers have scheduled additional upcoming procedures. She has been unable to work since her trip to the emergency room and is currently out on (FMLA) Medical leave.
Brenda joined the Closing department of CMA, an HOA management company, in December 2001. She ensures when a property is bought or sold in a Home Owners’ Association, management company records are updated to record that ownership was transferred. Through the years Brenda has made countless ownership changes to maintain accurate records. She’s adapted to changing procedures and technology as the company adopted advanced record systems. Handling hundreds of ownership transfers a month, Brenda has diligently performed a repetitious and detail-oriented job with proficiency and a positive attitude. She has served CMA and their clients by keeping their records current and complete. Brenda’s absence has been keenly felt at CMA.
Brenda was raised in Greenville, Tx and has lived in Garland for the past 20 years where she raised her two sons, Anthony and Irelant. Sadly, Irelant lost his own fight with Lymphoma at the age of 27. Through it all, Brenda continues to stay positive. She is close to her sisters, Janice, Claudene and Tammy, who have been her support system during this time. Brenda remains optimistic that her doctors will find a treatment plan for her.
Not being able to work has taken a toll on Brenda financially. She has exhausted her paid time off and her savings and is now struggling to pay bills. We want to support and give back to Brenda at this time.
All donations will go toward Brenda’s living expenses and ongoing medical bills.
