Brenda Britton's Battle with Cancer

Brenda is a loving wife, mom, friend, and Kindergarten Teacher at Knolls Vista Elementary here in Moses Lake. In July 2016, Brenda was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer. This was a complete shock and came out of nowhere since Brenda has always been healthy and because she just turned 44 years old a couple months before the diagnosis.
Along with the fight for Brenda’s life are the never ending medical bills. Everybody has asked Brenda if there is anything they can do for her, the best way to help her is with the medical bills.
Yes, we have medical insurance but insurance only covers so much. Initially Brenda was only going to need Radiation Treatments but the cancer tumor was too aggressive so she now has to go through Chemotherapy in addition to Radiation Treatments. These treatments will now take her into the spring of 2017 followed by 5-10 years of hormone treatments.
Our out of pocket expenses will be over double now that treatments will go into next year and the insurance is raising the amount of out of pocket expense in January. Out of pocket expense we have to pay is $7000+. Insurance doesn’t cover the additional costs of co-pays, medication premiums, and the costs to go to Wenatchee for most of her cancer appointments, surgeries, and the upcoming daily drives to Wenatchee for Radiation Treatments that will run between 3-5 weeks long.
Our family would greatly appreciate your financial donations to help and make it one less thing Brenda needs to worry about so she could focus on fighting this monster inside her.
It is so heartbreaking to see somebody go through cancer of any kind; it really hits home when it is somebody you love and care about.
