I have this friend we fight like sisters but she always sticks around through thick and thin like a bad rash...(jk) humor helps.
Now she is ready for a fight and there are so many in her corner, she has us always. Brenda recently moved from Sweet Home where she stayed with her sister and her family until relocating to Sacred Heart Riverbend for work she now has a beautiful place where her and her dog Lucy are comfortable. We want to help her provide financially for the upcoming expenses as she begins this journey of the unknown. This money will go towards medical bills and needs as well as to compensate he lost wages. No one should have to fight this battle and worry about the expenses to fight it. Let's give her a break and fight this one for her.

As some of you may already know I received the prognosis of breast cancer on Wednesday July 27th and received the confirmed diagnosis on Friday July 29th. I will be receiving chemo therapy treatment prior to and after surgery. I will have a consult with my surgeon on August 17th to determine when and what type of surgery will take place. There is still more imaging that is required before chemo and surgery and this should happen quickly. This has been an extremely difficult week but I feel very hopeful and determined to get through this journey ahead of me. I am so blessed to have an amazing and loving family, friends, coworkers and medical team that will help guide my way through this lengthy process. I am so thankful to all of you who will be by my side during the ups and downs of all of this. My sister Betty will be posting updates frequently to keep all of you informed on how my treatment is moving along. I appreciate everyone's support and prayers.
