Briana's Road To Recovery
Donation protected
Briana Caviness-Krider(my niece) is a smart, loving, outgoing and beautiful 7 year old girl. She loves what all children love, but mostly enjoys singing, laughing, Shopkins and dogs. On October 30, 2016, while spending the weekend with her father and grandmother, Briana was mauled by a neighbor’s Pit bull as she was playing outside with her siblings. Briana sustained deep Injuries to her face, head and not to mention physiological trauma. Her injuries required 55 stitches along her face, 6 staples on her head, along with trails of teeth marks and bruising. She went from being a vibrant, outgoing child to not wanting to go to school in fear of being bullied and made fun of by her peers. She’s even questioned family on whether she is still pretty and doesn’t want to see her reflection in the mirror. This has been such a traumatic experience for both Briana and our family and the road to her recovery will be a lengthy one. Briana will be seen by a plastic surgeon, which god willing will be able to conceal all injuries to her face. This will hopefully bring her one step closer to being the amazing little girl she is.
Since this occurred Briana’s mom, Monica(my sister), has been forced to take a leave of absence from her job in order to take care of Briana's injuries and make sure none of her wounds become infected. On behalf of this heartbreaking struggle, we established a financial goal to represent a jump start for Briana's injuries. Every dollar is
appreciated.
