Briandria Starks DC Trip

Briandria Starks is 13 yrs old and is in 7th grade. She is homeschooled, along with her 10yr old brother and 6yr old sister. They all attend Valley Oaks Charter School in Bakersfield, Ca. Bri is a very intelligent student. She started reading at the age of 2. When it was time to enroll Bri in school, she skipped Kindergarten and went to 1st grade. Bri wants to be a Pediatric Neurosurgeon. She has participated in her school Spelling Bee 4 times before winning this years Bee. She went on to the County Bee and to everyones amazement, she won. Her next step is to participate in the National Spelling Bee in Washington DC from May 28th-June 3rd. We are trying to reach this goal so that not only will she be able to make this years Bee, but her family will be able to go along with her as her support.
