Brianna's Recovery Fund

Brianna McBride is a young woman destined to do great things. She is a gifted student and has an immense talent for the Arts. She has been singing, writing, and playing music since she was in 3rd grade. She received honors in her high school theater program and has placed in many vocal and music competitions. Yet throughout her young life she has suffered with major depression and severe bipolar episodes that derail her progress, each time requiring hospitalization to stabilize her condition. Each time she has been forced to abandon her schooling and her living arrangements because she has to quit her jobs when the episodes take over, not to mention the heavy feelings of failure that recur each time she has had to start over because of mental illness. 
Some might say, "just take your meds", or "get social security disability" -- yet when she is healthy she has a brilliant mind and a gracious infectious smile. She is currently hospitalized and is so determined not to be derailed this time. She has high hopes of attending Santa Monica City College in February 2017 while also maintaining the living arrangements that she had to leave suddenly. She is determined not to have to "retreat" from the war she must constantly wage inside herself.
