Bring Eventing to South Texas

Help bring equestrian eventing to the Texas Hill Country and all of South Texas.

Hill Country Eventing Foundation, a Texas Nonprofit and 501(c)(3) chartered to promote education about and participation in equestrian eventing, including: dressage, show jumping, and cross-country jumping, in the Texas Hill Country.

The equestrian sport of eventing is practically non-existent in the Texas Hill Country and all South Texas. In order to train and compete in the equestrian sport (one that goes to the Summer Olympics), riders must travel to Houston TX, Dallas TX, or outside of state. In the past year, several competitive locations in Texas closed and interested competitors find it very difficult to earn enough competition points in the sport to compete in advanced events.

Land in the Texas Hill Country is often very rocky and difficult for use in this equestrian sport. Also, few training locations possess enough land to house a competition-level course that can field 100 obstacles or more.

Hill Country Eventing Foundation partnered with Fine Print Farms in Bulverde TX, just north of San Antonio TX. There, we found 100 acres of fabulous riding property that presents all the capabilities needed to provide a full eventing facility in South Texas!

The owners of Fine Print Farms have donated their 100 acres (valued at $1.2M) for the promotion of the sport in South Texas. Also, they have already donated $200K of their own money to prepare the property for an eventing facility.

Hill Country Eventing Foundation officially received IRS approval in December 2016, retroactive to the establishment of the Texas nonprofit in March 2016. They worked with a volunteer course consultant, Marvin Savage, to present a design incorporating all that the property has to offer.

Now Hill Country Eventing Foundation is ready in 2017 to start building a full eventing program at Fine Print Farms. Initial donations to our Bring Eventing to South Texas will go to fund the initial construction of the approximately 100 cross country obstacles and the building of competition arenas for dressage and show jumping.

We need your help to bring eventing to the Texas Hill Country and all of South Texas.

Recently, unscrupulous people have been using gofundme to raise money for themselves, while stating they were going to disaster relief.  They have asked for us to share several items the prove the validity of our campaign (which we have above) and our withdrawal approach.

Our Withdrawal Approach:
Monetary withdrawls are sent via text to John Knotts, the President of Hill Country Evventing Foundation.  He deposits them directly into the Hill Country Eventing Foundation bank account we have at Bank of America.
