So what's this then?
A year ago, I moved across the country. For a few reasons. It was the path my life needed to take at that point in time. It puts me in a region that will do best for my career goals. Unfortunately, I couldn't move with my cats. One, I have chosen to leave with my family. They adore her and she is too old for such a major move. The other, however, I have been striving to have with me again.

I'm finally living in a place where I can have her. Unfortunately, the cost is going to be high as I have to get my plane ticket (round trip) back to the east coast, her one-way (in cabin!) ticket back, her vet visit right before the flight, and the pet deposit for my apartment complex. I'm looking into possibly getting certification for an emotional support animal, which may off-set the deposit a bit... But I need to plan for paying for everything, in full.
Why go this route?
The Seattle region is expensive to live in. I'm doing alright, but not "able to drop $1,000 without way, way advanced planning" alright. My family would help if they could, but money is tight for them as well.
Do you need ALL of this money?

This campaign is for the full amount I would need for just the base costs. It doesn't cover supplies when I get her out here (food, litter box, etc.) or other fiddly things (like transit to/from the airport, etc.). Just plane tickets, estimated cost of vet bill, and the pet deposit. I don't want to ask people to donate more than I strictly need.
Final word?

I love this fuzzball. She was handraised and not having her in my life has left me feeling empty and lonely. My family sends me photos and I know she is well-cared for and loved, but I want her out here with me and wedging herself into my lap or draping over my shoulder again.
