Retired police officer Mirkhan Ariffin of Tracom was in Bali on a holiday with his wife, Nadine, during the Easter weekend when he was involved in a motorbike accident.
As a result of the accident, he had fractured his neck, right collar bone and broken four ribs, rendering unconscious and in critical condition. In the aftermath of surgery, he was pronounced to be in a coma where he has a 50/50 chance of being declared brain dead if not treated and making an improvement.
His three daughters, all living in Darwin, Australia, during the time of the accident, have spent almost AUD$1000 to fly to Bali the following night, excluding stay.
Hospital bills are racking up to AUD$10,000. His family are planning to fly him back to Singapore by air ambulance but are in doubt as costs can take up to USD$30,000. Medical bills in Singapore for treatment, stay and other miscellaneous are also not yet counted in this share but today we urge all friends, family, old colleagues and citizens to continue to donate and help us save a good man.

This is Mirkhan’s youngest daughter, Sorfinah, upholding this campaign. We are Singaporean citizens living abroad in a Darwin, Australia when my parents went to Bali for a holiday.
The goodwill funds that you contribute to us will be used to support our father’s air ambulance to Singapore, air doctor & air nurse if not included, cover the cost of our father’s stay and medical expenses in Bali’s hospital, his stay and medical expenses for extensive treatment and care once he lands in Singapore, and other miscellaneous such as transport for the family to be with our father wherever he needs to be as he has been supporting us through this whole time.
We now need everyone’s help to support him because it’s his turn to be taken care of.
The money will go directly to the hospital in Bali by cash as they will not accept cards and we will most probably pay for the air ambulance online. Other miscallenous costs will be paid for accordingly depending on by cash or online, thanks to all your contributions.
