Brockwell Park Dog Show

In early 2015, Lambeth Council announced that they were cancelling the long-running and much-loved Brockwell Park Dog Show due to staffing and funding cuts.

To keep the event running, a group of four local dog-owners volunteered to take it over from the Council, alongside local volunteer group Brockwell Park Community Partners. The 2015 volunteer-run Dog Show was the biggest and most successful event ever, with Mark Rylance as a celebrity judge and a Woof Hall themed fancy dress round.

We've almost finished planning the 2016 Dog Show, but we now need your help to make it happen.

So far, Brockwell Park have generously provided all of the equipment we need for the Dog Show. However, the white picket fence they've used for many years is now beginning to fall apart, and much of it is either missing or rotten.

We currently don't have enough fencing for this year's show, and the sections we do have will soon be too rotten and unsafe for us to use. It turns out fences are not cheap, so £500 will allow us to buy enough fence to replace the rotten sections, or £2k will allow us to invest in a vinyl fence that will last us for the next decade!

That's why we're asking you to help us buy a new fence for the Brockwell Park Dog Show.

Not only will a stronger and more weatherproof fence help to make the Dog Show itself safer and more enjoyable, we can also lease it out to other events in Brockwell Park,  raising funds to cover additional expenses related to running the Dog Show.

By donating, you're helping us to secure the Brockwell Park Dog Show's future financial sustainability,  and making sure that it will be enjoyed by the dogs (and owners) of South London for many years to come.

BUT Thats not all!!!
We'd like to reward the big spenders out there, so here are some rewards for anyone donating £20 or more!
Donate £20, and you can claim an A4 sized dog show poster on the day.
Donate £50, as above, plus you can award a rosette to one of the winning dogs, and be name checked for your support at the show.
Donate £100, and receive the above, we will introduce you to the judges, and ensure you have a VIP seat along side them!
Donate £500, and you can have a 2m advertising space for the next three dogshows (you will need to provide the banner)
Donate £1000, and you can be a judge!

(small print, if in the unlikely event rain calls the event off, we will roll your reward over to next years show).

Any additional funding above our target will be used to fund the Dog Show itself, or other events run by Brockwell Park Community Partners.
