Build Us Up and Send Us Out

We live in a world where there is much need—whether it’s hunger, housing, disaster relief, or providing a variety of needed assistance within our communities. St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Livonia, Michigan, has a tradition of actively reaching out to those in need. Whether it’s a local or a national need, we have been there to help. Our relief efforts have included participating in supporting tornado relief in Oklahoma and Missouri, hurricane relief efforts on the East Coast, as well as Puerto Rico and Louisiana. The photo is of our travels in 2018 to Puerto Rico to repair roofs and local homes of survivors of Hurricane Maria. Our local ongoing efforts include working as part of Life Remodeled (Detroit), Habitat for Humanity, Crossroads Soup Kitchen, Redford Interfaith Relief, Detroit Medical Relief and Gleaners Community Food Bank. St. Paul’s has its own onsite food pantry serving our communities and we open our facilities to many area meetings. We offer worship, Bible Studies, and a variety of fellowship, spiritual and prayer-filled activities that are open to all to allow us to “Feed people—body, mind and spirit”. Our efforts are not impossible with your help!
