BUNNY STRONG after Hurricane Irma
Donation protected
We received the confirmation today that our sister Elizabeth (aptly nicknamed "BUNNY" because of her size 11 shoe :D ) and her family lost 90% of everything they owned due to Hurricane Irma. If that wasn't enough alone to wrench your heart, this is the same sister who is currently battling Stage 3 Triple Negative breast cancer. The same sister whose birthday is also on September 11th.
All of this happened on her birthday…
Elizabeth and her beautiful family!
Current emotional location: complete and utter heartbreak...
Elizabeth and her family moved from South Florida to Jacksonville to be closer to family members and the medical center where she is receiving treatment for her cancer only 6 weeks ago. Prior to the storm, besides completely re-painting the interior of their home and adding new carpet, they also recently purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher for the kitchen and washer/dryer & AC units and as the old ones broke in August. However, now Everything is destroyed.
Their two children, Chance, 7, and Ellie, 4, just started at a new school last week and they have nothing to return home to.

As if Elizabeth and her family haven't been through enough this year with her illness, which has taken her to Houston, TX many times already as she needed to receive clinical trials at MD Anderson for the past 8 weeks, now she's dealing with her home being obliterated by the storm.
Our family is absolutely devastated. We have been working so hard these past 5 months pulling our resources together, traveling to and from Texas and Florida to be by her side in shifts and have dug deep to support Elizabeth and her family through cancer treatments. The situation Hurricane Irma has caused extends beyond what we can do alone.
My entire family and I cannot begin to express the distress in our hearts and the churning anxiety in the pits of our stomach for our beloved and brave sister at this time.
Elizabeth is that person in your life that always walks on the sunny side of the road. She is a giver and avid supporter of charitable causes. She herself has run multiple marathons (including the NYC marathon) all of which are on behalf of charities she supports in the community. She greets everyone she meets with her beautiful, beaming smile (look at her pictures!!!!), radiates positivity with her infectious demeanor, and simply asks for nothing. Even now, at her most desperate hour, she's the person that you think of when someone asks you who your role model is.

We wish for her to feel empowered, supported, healthy and strong during this fragile time and to only have to focus on her recovery.
It is for these reasons that we ask for YOUR HELP to be BUNNY STRONG after Hurricane Irma!
BUNNY STRONG!!!
Between her cancer treatments, flights to and from Houston for her check-up appointments and now the near total loss of her property and personal belongings, this family is DETERMINED to help our Elizabeth in any way possible and as soon as possible!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for reading this far into the body of this request and considering donating to Elizabeth's cause. If you are not able to donate funds at this time, we please ask that you share this GoFundMe page to your network of friends and family to assist us in helping this family get back on their feet. Airline mile donations are also much appreciated for medical travel.
I will leave you with the inspirational words of John Holmes; "There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up"
THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
