Burbage's New Home at 59 Blackstone
Tax deductible
Burbage Theatre Company is moving into its very own theatre space! Our new home will be just across the river from where we are now, at 59 Blackstone Ave. in Pawtucket. Our space is beautiful and construction has already begun! We're set to move in on August 15th of this year; and we will be open for production of our 9th season which begins on Sep 26th with The School for Lies.
Our build out includes brand new HVAC , devising walls separating our backstage area from the theatre, brand new audience bathrooms, dressing rooms, dressing room bathroom, office space, a scene shop, and our very own box office.
We're thrilled to start our next chapter, and we can't wait to see how we can grow and expand as an organization now that we have a home of our own. Any support you can provide to help with our renovations is greatly appreciated.
Take a look at the pictures below and see what our space looks like now, and our plans for renovation! We'll post updated photos as our construction progresses.
Thank you so much- we'll see you at the theatre!
The Burbage Theatre Company strives to excite and engage a new generation of theatre-goer with socially relevant and compelling stories, both classic and contemporary, told by an inventive and expert ensemble of actors.
Burbage is dedicated to the growing and cultivating of the diverse artistic community in Rhode Island by providing affordable access to the performing arts and perpetuating a discourse about, not only content, but the actor's role as storyteller in today's world.
