Burton Band to Washington DC!
Tax deductible
Our very own Phillip Burton Marching Band has been nominated by
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi to represent San Francisco and the State of California in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington DC on July 2nd –July 5th , 2019. This four-day, three-night trip is a surreal, once in a lifetime opportunity for our students to march in a nationally televised parade to represent Burton HS, SFUSD, and California.
This year, 75% of Burton students are socio-economically disadvantaged. Many of them are and will struggle to pay for an experience like this. We are working hard to fundraise but we need your help. Any amount of donation will help at least one of our students with the cost.
Our goal is to have every band student participate in this extraordinary experience that will last with them for the rest of their lives.
Please consider a small donation to help make this possible!
