Butiiki Children's Ministry

I am Beth Goodell. I am an art teacher in TN. I have been fundraising for Butiiki Children's Ministry for a year now. BCM is a struggling orphanage in Jinja, Uganda. Robert Walugosi is in charge and cares for nearly 100 children of all ages. The children are currently moving to another facility that needs some work. The new facility needs doors, windows, tables, and latrine doors. The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide basic needs such as school supplies, food, medical care, and shelter for the children of BCM. I have a facebook page that shows many stories and pictures about these kids. You can find it on Facebook by searching for "Orphans of Butiiki Children's Ministry." Uganda has one of the world's highest orphan populations due to poverty and AIDS. Robert is giving these kids a chance by keeping them sheltered, fed, and protected. It is amazing to see how much just a little can do. Recently we have paid to have the roof built onto the latrines. As progress is made to improve the facility and care for the kids, I will post updates here and on the FB page. One day, we hope to raise enough money to build a permanent home that will be rent free. Thank you to all that gave to the previous fundraiser on Youcaring.
