Hi. Hello. Hey. ^_^
My name is Nicola Sagay (aka poopie, my sister is the only one who calls me that) I am 2nd year Philosophy, Politics and Economics student at The University of Manchester and I am entering my third year September 2018....well I want to. I am raising money for my 3rd yr tuition fees and maintenance cost.
Who am I?
I'm a born and bred british citizen with strong Nigerian roots. I love food (steamed kale & chicken wings are one of my fav foods) I love to cook and dance. I'm love to talk, if there's a talking addiction well ….
I'm bubbly and love to meet new people so don't be afraid to message me via my email: My name is Nicola Sagay (aka poopie, my sister is the only one who calls me that) I am 2nd year Philosophy, Politics and Economics student at The University of Manchester and I am entering my third year September 2018....well I want to. My story
In my life I have had many struggles, I currently have an autoimmune heart condition which made me wheel chaired bound for a long time but by the grace of GOD and the extremely hard work of the doctors, nurses my family and my determination, I learnt how to walk again. I am a determined person and no matter what life throws me I always push forward. I was about to interrupt my studies as I experienced a lot of unfortunate events. Due to housing issues during term time with my landlord I had no where to live for a couple of days in Manchester but my family home in Kent. I struggled financially and failed to get a job despite my qualifications. All I could eat was rice and onions(which I made work surprisingly) and I wished not to burden my hardworking parents who support not only my siblings but family around the world. The demand of my course as well as dealing with issues from my childhood, I wanted to leave.
So why didn't I?/ why am I coming back?
Like I said, I am a strong person and I have GOD to thank that for. I decided that my issues and pain was an opportunity to help others. My experiences and telling my story would definitely help people going through struggles in life. This is why I am launching a society based on improving financial wellbeing at university i.e.>>>Mental Health and financial wellbeing/ how to eat when you are broke/How to save money/ how to spend sensibly? etc.
Why is this important to you?
I enjoyed my course, I enjoyed learning and meeting new people. I don't want the bad events that happened in my life to squash me or triumph over me and me coming back to university would be a win for us!!!!
Moreover, If I don't come back to university I will not be able to share my story and society with others.
