Campaign for Kuba
Spende geschützt
Thursday, April 20th was a seemingly normal day for Kuba, save for a little fever that started to bother him. Within a few days the fever turned into pneumonia, and Kuba was diagnosed with severe sepsis that evolved into septic shock. Currently on strong medications, and completely sedated, with a cardiopulmonary bypass oxygenating his blood outside of the body, Kuba is fighting for his life at an ICU unit at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. A strong track-and field runner, a soccer player, an altar server in our Polish church, and a great leader for the young generation of scouts in our community, Kuba is also always willing to lend a hand. He has a sharp mind and is an excellent student. Shortly before his sickness, Kuba was accepted into college to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering…

While doctors are doing everything in their power, we are praying for his recovery and helping his family members that spend every day and night at his bedside in the hospital. If you would like to help, please join us in our prayers, and a donation of any amount would be highly appreciated as well. All proceeds will go directly to Kuba’s medical care and his road to recovery. Thank you so much in advance.

UPDATE:
5/12/2017
Some positive news: bacteria has not been detected in Kuba's blood in the last 4 days.
The cardiopulmonary bypass and the respirator are still on, and there is no major change in Kuba's condition since he arrived to ICU at Cedars Sinai on Apr 28th. The doctors say he needs time.
Thank you all for the prayers, words of hope and encouragement, your generosity and support. Please keep praying for Kuba's recovery.
