Camp Sawyer Recovery Fund
Tax deductible
Camp Sawyer is a 9-acre ocean front facility flanked between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean on Scout Key and offers camping and aquatic activities for more than 3,500 Scouts and families annually.
Camp Sawyer is home to many crews travelling to and from the Florida Sea Base.
The camp, located at 34.5 MM in the Florida Keys, and took a direct hit from Hurricane Irma. The Chart Room building, waste water treatment facility, all fences, camp equipment, and boats have been destroyed, heavily damaged or are gone. The employee residence, main pavilion and restroom facility are still standing and have sustained major damage.
Our goal is to get Camp Sawyer re-opened as soon as possible for Scouts and families to enjoy again. The monies raised will go to cover items and equipment not covered by insurance.
Your help and support is greatly appreciated.
