Mountaineer Seeking Help From Injury
I broke my lateral tibial plateau on January 13, 2017. Friday the 13th. Ironic.
This injury required knee surgery which means I cannot put any weight on my leg for a minimum of 3 months, and now I cannot work or make any income until the end of May.
No income means no rent, car payments, electricity bill, gas, and just basically everyday things.
On top of that, I have huge medical bills from the E.R., surgery, and overnight stays at the hospital. Physical therapy is the biggest obligation.. It's stressful and a huge strain on my family and myself.
This has been one of the hardest things I've gone through. Physically, financially, and mentally.
I didn't think I would have such a life changing experience so fast. Doing what I love. Chasing fresh tracks out in Southback at Crytsal mountain.
I was flying through the the powder. Cruising in and out of the the trees. Then boom - I clipped a tree under the powder.
It happened so fast.
The pain was so intense.
I knew instantly that my life was about to get turned upside down.
I can't wait to get back out in the North cascades. Rock climbing at Smith Rock. Just to get on my own two feet again and off these crutches / wheelchair.
Just to walk again without assistance.
I'm also a member of
The Mountaineers of Washington state.
Please help if you can.
Please help by sharing this.
Thank you
Greg
