Captain's Legacy Society

The Captain's Legacy Society was founded by a tribe of  Bert's friends and family, in memory of the
esteemed and  legendary life of Capt. Bert Rogers. Recently a friend said of him, "Bert was a connector" of
people, of ships, of history and so much more.  He was not limited by his own experience, rather, that
experience opened vast oceans of possibility within his passion fueled imagination, embarking on a righteous course giving thousands of students the chance to self discover their own unlimited potential through
voyages aboard ships.

Captain's Legacy Society has two missions:

To honor Bert's life work by under-taking memorial funding campaigns to honor Captains, Crew and
Ship-mates and create a fund in honor of their dedicated lives.
To provide scholarships for the next generation of young mariners who want to experience  life altering
voyages at sea. 
We aim to raise $1,000 to acquire non-profit 501(c)(3) status. Your donation will help us achieve that.
All additional money raised will be put toward building the foundation and generating funds for
scholarships. 

The Marinero Fund is the first Scholarship Fund of the Captain’s Legacy Society to honor Bert and his legacy of connecting sailors with the sea. You can give directly to the Marinero Scholarship Fund at
