Carmen's Memorial Services
This page is for all the friends, family members, and familiar faces who are interested in sharing a gift with Carmen's family.
Who was Carmen? An Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), survived by many family and friends as she was unexpectedly called back home at the tender age of 49. A personality which was able to light up the darkest of rooms and a heart with so much space for everyone else she oftentimes forgot to take care of herself because of worrying for others. Born, raised, lived, and died, in Paterson, NJ, surrounded by a strong Puerto Rican community, as she was a proud Boricua herself. If there was one thing that she would want everyone to know and remember as advice is to "be yourself and be happy." Although she would forget it herself sometimes she would never allow her kids to forget it. Forgiveness was probably her best quality and she truly understood nobody is perfect which is why she went through great lengths to make and keep a friend.
Thank you for your gifts, your time, memories, thoughts and prayers during this time. As you may imagine the family is taking it day by day, as losing "the rock" of the family is not easy.
