Carolina Fund

I am doing this for my assistant at work. Carolina is a wonderful young woman who has been victimized by thieves. They broke into her car and her mother's car at the worst possible time, getting away with 3 computers, a portable hard drive, Carolina's keys, wallet, and more. The police would not even dust for fingerprints even though the loss was in the thousands of dollars.

So the thing about Carolina is that this woman works about 60 hours a week. On the weekends she travels to another part of the state to help her mother care for her father, who has a debilitating condition.

Carolina has lofty goals - she's going to be a doctor. She has completed her BS degree and obtained a certificate from a technical college and when she is not working in our office, she is a part-time medical assistant.

This episode has hit her hard. Years' worth of photographs and the back-ups too, are gone. On top of that, she has been further victimized by a scam artist who almost had her convinced that he had her computers and tried to steal more money from her.

People reading this may or may not know Carolina, but she does not deserve all of this misfortune; she deserves much better. Her friends and co-workers would like to help her get whole again.
