CarrieOn5K Fundraiser For Will Hamer
Donation protected
The Carrie On 5K Race learned that one of the Gumby Suits the race provided to local first responders was used by the Rogers Police Chief during the rescue of Will Hammer from an icy pond in Rogers, MN.
Will was trapped beneath the water under equipment and had only his nose held above water while they tried to free him. He is recovering from hypothermia, a dislocated arm, nerve damage and and a pelvis that is broken in 2 places.
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to help offset the costs surrounding his hospital stay and recovery which is expected to last several months. This campaign will help pay for associated medical costs, rent, food, utilities, and travel. Will was the sole provider for his family and they do not know when he will be able to work again. This will remove one more burden from their backs as they focus on what’s important: Helping Will heal and hopefully one day soon be up and walking and able to provide for his family again.
Even if you cannot donate at this time, please share our campaign so we might reach others who can.
Thank you for your time, kindness, thoughts, and prayers.
