MY PROGRESS
In 2011, I started focusing more on direcing and chreographing. My first start was a sold out performance at the PUBLIC THEATRE'S venue Joe's Pub In New York with a show called RHYTHM REFIX. This show helped me grow tremseloudly, creatively, and mentally as an artist. I was able to embellish the show with some dancers I had worked with in the past and new dancers I admired. I premired the one act version of my show in Zurich,Switzerland with great success. I then was asked to perform excerpts of the show at the Museum of Contempaorty Arts in Chicago in 2014 for the Chicago Human Rhythm Project. I then knew I wanted to have my own dance company and invest my time and personal money on something I believed in. I then created the Cartier Williams Dance Theatre which is a collobration of art forms coming together the foundation of the company being tap, sprinkled in with hip hop, ballet, and modern dance to coexist together. To tell a vareity of stories and to bring everyone together in the dance world to fall in love with tap no matter what their experince was when they came to the theatre to see a performance of mine. My company's first piece was a new adapdation on the children's classic Prokofiev's PETER AND THE WOLF that I premired at The Childrens Museum of Manhattan in 2015. I continued to develop more new works mostly excerpts but now today my newest show is called ZIGITYBOP! which will premire in Oslo Norway August 14, 2017 at the Oslo Jazz Festivel and August 16, 2017 at PLAZA in Zurich, Switzerland.

MY GOAL
The reason for me creating this gofundme campagin is to bring this production to my hometown of Washington D.C. where I started tapping first. Unfornately the oppuritinty has not come to frutition for me to bring any of my shows to the nations capitiol. Its not easy finding sponsers and investors but this is my reason for creating this gofundme to ask for your help. My goal is to raise $20,000 . The expenses will be used for the rental of the theater, accomdations, paying dancer fees, rehershals, promoting, and bringing my company down to D.C from New York to premire the show ZIGITYBOP! this Fall in D.C. The show is 1hour and 15 min I would like to secure the theater by the end of the summer to arrange things properly for a smooth production for the fall after my summer performances. I would really like to show the people what Ive been doing all these years creating new work and taking risks as a chreographer and director. Bringing my shows to D.C will hopefully bring more opportunities for me to produce more shows. Hopefully in doing so it will help other kids that went to D.C public schools from Southwest, D.C the chance to follow their dreams.
Help me bring my show to D.C hopefully I can bring it to a city near year. Its all orginal straight from the heart.
