Cashell's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Cashell is the twenty-nine year old niece of my wife Imelda. She is married with two children and works with her mother in Manila, Philippines. Tragically she was diagnosed recently with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, or cancer of the blood, primarily the white cells. She will be admitted to a hospital next week to begin treatment which is very expensive in the Philippines. This cancer if caught early can respond to treatment and hopefully go into remission. We hope that friends and family can contribute to this fund to save her life. Any sum (large or small and I mean small... $5 can help greatly toward bills). Anything will be so very much appreciated
Update. Cashell is in the hospital for blood transfusions. She is doing as well for the moment.
Update. Cashell has been moved to a government facility as the money to continue care and treatmen in private hospital has run dry. Without friends and family Cashell would have little chance of survival. Her baby will be delivered via C section within the next few days and the chemo treatments can begin. As you can see, the goal has been raised considerable to cover not only the hospital cost but the medications as well. I am Cashell's Tito by marrage and again I want to thank those contribiting for their giving spirit.
Update - 6/16/17
I finally made my first donation to Cashell's family from the fund. It was not as much as I had hoped for but I am very grateful and happy that those who have donated will be part of this coming journey.
Baby Faith went home with her grandmother and is safe and loved and cared for. Cashell begins her eight cycle chemo therapy and will stay in the hospital for the duration. The medical bills have and continue to arrive and are much greater than I thought they would be... we estimate that the total may run as high as a million pesos. Of course we are still happy to accept any and all continued donations from loved ones. family and friends. Once again I want to personally thank all even though I have not met everyone. Imelda and I both greatly appreciate your kindness.
