Send JGHS Students to SCAD!

This summer we hope to send 7 students to Atlanta, Georgia to attend the SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) Summer Program. This is a week-long opportunity for our students to engage in creative pre-college seminars to help them succeed in an art career. This program will aid them in their art training and better prepare them for Year 12 or A-levels. We are so excited for them to get this opportunity to travel to Atlanta and interact with other art-minded students from all over the world. Due to the limited art education beyond the high school level on island, our students have to travel vast distances by air to experience other art-related educational opportunities. The funds we raise will help pay for their summer program; tuition and airfare. Please help support these wonderful JGHS students so that they can reach their goal and attend this summer program!
Our School:
John Gray High School is located in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. We are a government sponsored school catering mainly to the local population and children of government employees. We teach Years 7-11, offering Art & Design as a GSCE exam course for students in Years 10 and 11. Our students are resourceful and eager to learn.
Our students:
They are the best! Our art students possess much creativity and they work hard to create the best versions of themselves through art. They have been working extremely hard for the past 2 years preparing for their final examination, so as to get into a fantastic art program at the university level. This summer program will expose them to many art mediums that they cannot get in school at this time, including digital and fashion.
