Donation protected
Welcome to the Ceiba Hamsterdog Memorial Waffle Fund, a fundraiser to benefit Tara's House Animal Rescue.
After we lost Ceiba , our 11.5 year old Min Pin to bladder cancer, a lot of people who've read about her funny, waffle-based antics online for some (or all!) of her life brought up the idea of making a group donation in her name somewhere.
I thought that was a terrific idea. I just had to stop crying first.
We have since adopted Beau, an amazing little dog rescued from a high-kill shelter by the good folks at Tara's House. He was severely neglected -- underweight, covered in fleas and lacking all basic veterinary care. After just a month in their foster care program, you never would have known. This is a great group doing great things.
I am planning to make a donation to Tara's House in honor of Ceiba (and Beau, and all the dogs they've rescued), but figured a little group power can go a long way. If you'd like to contribute, you're clearly an awesome human being with good taste in dogs and blogs.
