Royal Flying Doc Outback Car Trek

Donation protected

The CEO Magazine highly values the need to give back, and for the past five years, we have been supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) - and this year is no different.

Chris Dutton (CEO) and Daniel Di Loreto (Managing Director) of The CEO Magazine are participating in the 2018 RFDS Outback Car Trek stretching some 3,500km from Tamworth, NSW to Airlie Beach, QLD and are looking to raise funds for this incredible cause.

The 2018 event will hopefully raise more than $1 million for the RFDS, which genuinely helps saves lives. We have met people who wouldn't be here today without this annual event. The Royal Flying Doctor Service cannot survive on the little funding from the government alone, and the Outback Car Trek really makes a difference.

Any company donation of $1,000 or more will receive their company logo on one of our vehicles for the trek.

No matter how big or small the donation, we are humbled by your generosity and thank you in advance for supporting for such an amazing cause.

ABOUT RFDS

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world.

Using the latest in aviation, medical and communications technology, the RFDS delivers extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to those who live, work and travel throughout Australia.

With a waiting room of 7.13 million square kilometres, they provide 24-hour aeromedical emergency services to country Australia.

The RFDS provides emergency evacuations throughout rural and remote Australia for people who are seriously ill or injured and require urgent medical attention.  We provide quality medical treatment on the ground, and use a dedicated aircraft when we need to transport patients to an appropriate hospital for any further treatment.

The RFDS provides regular fly-in fly-out GP, Nursing and Allied Health Clinics to rural and remote communities.

Rural and remote Australia is characterised by small, widely dispersed populations - and a lack of easy access to primary health care services. The RFDS works to overcome this, providing regular fly-in fly-out GP, Nursing and AlliedHealth Clinics to rural and remote communities.

In many of the locations where these clinics are provided, the RFDS is the only provider of health care services -- and takes the place of 'local' providers. As a result, the RFDS delivers health care services to the people and families throughout their whole lives.

ABOUT CAR TREK

2018 will be the 29th Anniversary of the Outback Car Trek raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The Trek has raised in excess of $26 million for the RFDS to date.

The Outback Car Trek has succeeded over the past 28 years due to the focus on four key elements;

• Raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
• Contributing socially and financially to the towns we visit
• Seeing parts of Australia that most people only dream about visiting
• Having Fun

The 29th Outback Car Trek will be conducted over seven days and the 2018 Trek will start in Tamworth, NSW on 3 June and finish in Airlie Beach, QLD on 9 June 2018.
