The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster Australia was started as an association of like-minded individuals who wanted to bring individual Pastafarians in Australia together as a united community, to promote religious equality and to promote the teachings of Pastafarianism more broadly to the general public.
Our third application to become an incorporated not-for-profit organisation has been refused by the Commissioner for Corporate Affairs, South Australia, as he does not believe we were formed for a religious, benevolent, charitable or educational purpose.
Our only avenue for appealing this decision is to go to the Appeals Tribunal. But that costs money, and as we do not have any, we are asking our fellow Pastafarians to assist us in this legal appeal.
All monies raised will go directly towards legal costs, and if we raise more money than is needed, all excess monies will be used to purchase pasta and sauce for our community 'Feed the Hungry' events to help alleviate hunger.
