Chagos Islands Football Team
Donation protected
The Chagos Islands National Football Team is comprised of second and third generation Chagossian players whose parents and grandparents were exiled from their homes in the Indian Ocean's Chagos Archipelago during construction of the U.S. military base on the British-controlled island of Diego Garcia. Ever since the U.S. and U.K. governments conspired to forcibly remove the Chagossians from their homes between 1968 and 1973, Chagossians have been demanding their right to return to their homeland.
We, the Chagos Football Association, and our supporters are proud to represent our Chagossian ancestors and help spread awareness for our cause. In order to best represent our team and our struggle, we are fundraising to purchase training equipment, cover travel costs to our matches, and fund the cost of insurance and our training pitch.
Your support is greatly appreciated and will contribute to our goal of sharing the Chagossian struggle for the right to return home!
