We are the 196 MTB , a Youth Mountain Biking Team, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving middle and high school students in the Apple Valley, Eagan, Eastview, and Rosemount schools in the South Metro of Minnesota. Our team is fully volunteer-led, composed of passionate individuals who believe in the transformative power of mountain biking. We strive to instill values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance in our riders, all while fostering a love for the great outdoors.

Our Goals

Why We Need Your Support

Mountain biking is an incredible sport that teaches our youth valuable life skills. However, it comes with significant costs. Last year our team lost our trailer to theft and along with it most of our team equipment. As a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization we have significant start-up expenses that include a trailer, tools, tents, benches, tables, and nutrition & hydration supplies. These are critical components to ensure our student riders are safe and well-supported during practices and competitions.

How Your Donation Will Help

Your contribution is tax deductible and 100% of these donations go directly to the team to help us fulfill our mission of getting "more kids on bikes." This includes providing scholarships for kids who want to to be on the team but need financial assistance to participate.
