We are thrilled to announce that the 757 Creative ReUse Center is turning 5 years old! In the past 5 years, we’ve grown from hosting craft supply swaps in breweries, to a small converted garage on Granby street, to a 6000 square foot facility in MacArthur Center! And we’ve infused Norfolk with the spirit of creativity and sustainability. Whether you've been a loyal customer since day one or you're just discovering our center for the first time, we invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone. Together, we can ensure that the 757 Creative ReUse Center continues to thrive for years to come.
About Us
The 757 Creative ReUse Center is more than just a store. We are a haven for artists, crafters, educators, and anyone with a passion for repurposing materials and creating art! Our shelves are filled with treasures waiting to be transformed; you’ll find vintage fabrics, oil paints, sewing machines, kids crafts, yarn, paper craft supplies and SO MUCH MORE. But beyond the materials, we are a space for learning, collaborating, and celebrating the power of creativity and community.
Our Achievements
Over the past 5 years, we have achieved so much together:
- Diverted tens of thousands of pounds of usable materials from landfills. In the past year alone, we accepted 36,471 pounds of usable materials!
- Provided affordable resources to artists, educators and members of our community
- Presented over 200 workshops and events that inspire and educate
- Built a vibrant community of like-minded individuals who believe in the magic of reuse and creativity
Our Vision
As we look ahead to the next 5 years and beyond, we envision an amazing future for the 757 Creative ReUse Center! We’ll offer more classes and workshops, create an outreach program to spread the message of Creative ReUse throughout the 757, and partner with more community organizations to strengthen and uplift us all. We also dream of purchasing our own building one day to secure a long-term spot in Norfolk.
How You Can Help
To make our dreams a reality, we need your support! We are launching a crowd-sourced fundraising campaign to raise funds for the following goals:
- Funding General Operations Expenses: It’s expensive to run a business, non-profit or otherwise. Your donation will help ensure we meet our monthly expenses while expanding our offerings.
- Outreach Programs: We want to bring the magic of creativity to under-served communities. Your donations will help us develop outreach programs, including free workshops and materials donations to schools, community centers, and organizations serving marginalized populations.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Our commitment to the environment is at the core of everything we do. With your support, we can continue to accept material donations and keep usable materials out of landfills.
How to Donate
You can make a tax-deductible donation in-store at the checkout, on our website or via GoFundMe. No amount is too small, and every contribution makes a difference.

Anniversary Party
Want to score a ticket to our 5th Anniversary Party on April 28th from 2-5? On April 21st we’re sending out invitations to our 50 largest donors and we’d love to see you there! Come pick up your gifts, enjoy some light hors d'oeuvres, participate in community crafts, and hang out with our staff! If you don’t make it to the party, gifts will be available to pick up in-store during the month of May.
