Help A Hand Up Resources And Community Outreach Build a Home for Hope

At A Hand Up Resources And Community Outreach, we are committed to supporting underserved communities by providing education on mental health, opioid prevention, cancer awareness, and more. Our mission is to empower those who need it most—particularly our rural and urban families—through outreach, support, and resources.

Our founder, Michelle, has poured her heart into this work after the tragic loss of her brother to the opioid epidemic. Michelle's empathy and leadership continue to drive our mission forward.

Now, we're embarking on an exciting new chapter: building a dedicated home office for A Hand Up Resources and Community Outreach an a safe haven for some of the most vulnerable members of our community—our veterans and seniors. We have been blessed with a 1.09-acre plot of land, and with your generous support, we plan to build homes that will serve as a sanctuary for 16-20 veterans and seniors who deserve a place to call home.

Our goal is to break ground by March, and we need your help to make this vision a reality. Your donation will go directly toward construction costs, providing not just a physical space but a sense of dignity, security, and belonging for those who have given so much.

Hand Up Resources and Community Outreach mission addresses critical gaps in support systems for underserved communities, particularly those facing issues such as mental health, child poverty, and opioid addictions to name a few. The primary problem we solve is the limited access to resources and education that individuals and families in these communities encounter. This lack of access results in a vicious cycle of disadvantage, where temporary fixes are mistaken for solutions. Unlike traditional methods that often consider help as merely a handout, our approach focuses on education and empowerment, equipping community members with the knowledge and skills necessary to uplift themselves and foster sustainable growth
