As the nation spins up a response to the Novel 2019 coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) pandemic, PPE, or personal protective equipment, has become critically scarce. Shortages are forcing frontline healthcare workers and first responders into fashioning homemade masks out of bandanas and scarves, or to reuse single-use PPE, heightening the risk of exposure, infection, and possibly death at a time when we rely on these health care workers more than ever to stem the outbreak.

Adirondack Mountain Rescue members are working with independent 3d printer operators to facilitate the production of protective equipment for frontline healthcare workers and first responders. We are using 100% of funds raised from this GoFundMe campaign to get vital PPE into the hands of the people that need it most. Your donation will help fund the effort to protect these frontline workers. Currently, the demand is so great, masks are being distributed as quickly as they can be produced. Through this initiative, Adirondack Mountain Rescue will provide protective masks free of charge to the people in our local communities at the frontlines of the fight against Covid-19.
