Ahwatukee Children's Theatre, Inc.

As you may or may not have heard, Ahwatukee Children’s Theatre was vandalized and robbed last night. The burglar(s) stole their PA systems (sound systems), computers, keyboards, microphones, fog machine, snow machine, etc. They went through and tore things apart. There are broken ceiling tiles, wires hanging from the ceiling, and the door was forced open with a crowbar.

Although ACT does have insurance, they have a $2,000 deductible to meet. They are not sure how long the claim process will take or if everything will be covered. I’m starting this GoFundMe to cover the amount of the deductible as well as the projected cost to cover the immediate replacement needed to continue their summer camps. Any amount above the set goal will be placed in an account for anything not covered by insurance. Any other remaining amount will be placed in the Zoe Mar Scholarship account. Let’s rally together and give ACT the love they give to the community in this time of need.

(Act): A.C.T.'s mission is to provide local children and young adults appreciation for and opportunities to be educated and participate in all aspects of the performing arts, as well as offering family-friendly entertainment to the community at large. Ahwatukee Children's Theatre has been around for 15 years! We have helped countless children find their voice, their passion and their place in this world. We culivate a strong sense of self, friendship, personal responsibility and growth, human interaction and of course, FUN! With rising costs of rent, electricty, show rights and so much more, we simply can't afford to keep our doors open much longer without some help! We will be downsizing at the end of this year. We still need to raise funds to help the build out of our new building and for clean up and moving expenses. ACT is NOT closing our doors, but we are evolving to adjust to a changing community and to become fiscally responsible.
