Honoring Jeff's fight against AML
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

We're reaching out to share a cause that is personal. Our good friend and former colleague, Jeff Schreiner, is courageously battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). To honor Jeff’s strength and show our support, we’ve decided to participate in a sprint triathlon. But this isn’t just about the race—it’s about making a difference.

We’re using this opportunity to raise funds for an incredible organization, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which is dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. This charity not only funds critical research but also provides support to families impacted by pediatric cancer. Your support can make a real impact. By contributing to our fundraiser, you’ll join us in honoring Jeff’s fight while helping children and families facing their own battles against cancer.

When Jeff shared his diagnosis, he recalled a conversation with one of his doctors. The Doctor talked about the treatment plan and in vintage Jeff fashion, he reminded him that whatever the possible outcome was, Jeff was always an exception. This phrase resonated with us, and as we gathered a team for this triathlon, the name for the team became clear; 'The Exception.' It captures Jeff's personality, both personally and professionally.

Together, we can make strides—both for this event and in the fight against cancer. Thank you for considering joining us in this meaningful effort. Let’s do this for Jeff, and for all those affected by cancer.

My name is Nick, and I love golfing. I just started about 2 years ago, and I’m about as close to a bogey golfer as I can get right now. I enjoy going out on the course with friends, my dad, and my lovely girlfriend Sarina. I try to golf all year round, and I’m always looking for ways to improve.

I am hosting this fundraiser because I like being a part of things that are bigger than myself. As humans, I feel we take things for granted and forget how precious life is. Most are lucky to have a happy and healthy life. Some aren’t, as they face challenges that are life-threatening.

I want to be the difference for someone who is not as lucky as I am. I want to be someone who can make a positive change in someone else’s life.

In 2000, 4 year old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement. To date, ALSF has raised more than $250 million and funded over 1,000 pediatric cancer research projects across North America.

Donations go to funding research for treatments or cures for children with cancer, and helps families deal with cancer related struggles. Alex's Bat Mitzvah Project
For my bat mitzvah project I am combining something I love with something important to me. I found Karina story and knew I wanted to help. Karina is a six-year-old girl battling leukemia. She and her mom were kind enough to share their story and educate others on the work being done to try to find a cure for children’s cancer. They began to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a charity that donates their proceeds to pediatric cancer research.

I am running nine 5k’s, the equivalent of a marathon, to help Karina meet her goal. As of right now, I have run four races and plan to complete the rest over the next year. I hope you will join me in my journey to raise money for this amazing cause. Thank you in advance to all of those who are donating to support me.

In Celebration of my recent launch of my team The Gold Key Property Group of Exit Elite Realty FW my initial intention was to host a "Launch Party/Reception". The purpose was to introduce my mission, staff and team members to friends, family and fellow real estate associates. Since September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I made the decision to re-direct those funds to a charity in support of this most worthy cause.

It is my hope that you will join me in my fundraising effort this month. Breast cancer remains one of the most persistent and devastating diseases affecting millions worldwide. In response, the United Nations—through the World Health Organization (WHO)—has made continuous efforts to promote awareness, expand access to treatment, and advance research toward a cure.

In recognition of these global initiatives, and in honor of October as International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Christian Brothers Academy Model United Nations Service Organization (MUNSO) stands in solidarity with those affected by this illness. We are committed to joining this fight by raising both awareness and funds in support of cancer research and prevention.

Our goal this month is to raise $1,000 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, whose pioneering work continues to prevent, treat, and one day eliminate childhood cancer. Through this initiative, MUNSO reaffirms its dedication to service, compassion, and global cooperation—values that lie at the heart of the United Nations and our mission as student leaders.
