Throughout the year, the Sirens Women's Motorcycle Club NYC engages in a variety of volunteer activities. We also hold an annual benefit ride to raise funds for organizations that tend to focus on health care issues for women, such as the Women and AIDS Research Network, Hale House, the Ali Forney Center (for homeless LGBTQ youth), Callen Lorde Community Health Center, the Project Renewal ScanVan, and the New York Milk Bank.
This year on
Saturday, October 7, we will be riding again to raise donations for
the Ali Forney Center (AFC). AFC’s mission is to protect LGBTQ youths (nearly 1,400 per year) from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently by providing them with housing and a continuum of supportive services (a 24-hour Drop-In Center which provides over 70,000 meals annually, medical and mental health services through an on-site clinic, and a scattered site housing program).
Thank you for donating to our ride to benefit this amazing organization in our community!
