Imagine trying to learn while hungry.
45% of our 6th grade families say that they've had to reduce the size of a meal or skip a meal since The American Dream School closed its doors in mid-March due to Covid-19. 26% say that this is their reality at least a few times every week.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Effective immediately, your remaining contributions will be used to provide direct hunger relief to our hungriest South Bronx families -- whether it be with supermarket credits, bulk shipments of nonperishable goods, or weekly produce boxes.
Together, we will make sure that Covid-19 doesn't stop our students and their families from eating healthy meals.
