We are raising funds in honor of Bao Chi Nguyen, his story raises awareness for the younger generation while also being profoundly heartbreaking.
Bao was a shining light in the lives of those around him. He graduated with honors from North Garland High School in June 2024 and was accepted into the University of Texas at Dallas to pursue a degree in Computer Science, reflecting his dedication and bright future.
Tragically, couple weeks after graduated highschool, Bao began experiencing severe headaches and vomiting blood. He was taken to the emergency room, where doctors prescribed migraine medication, believing he was too young to have anything serious. Unfortunately, his condition did not improve; he lost all memory of his interactions with paramedics and the circumstances surrounding his ER visit.
Eventually, Bao continued to vomit blood and was transferred to Methodist Richardson, where he was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. After two surgeries and a three-week stay in the ICU, Bao exhibited incredible strength and resilience, returning home to celebrate his 18th birthday with his family in good health—a miraculous turnaround.
However, tragedy struck once more. In the early morning of October 29, 2024, Bao collapsed, leaving his family in despair as he failed to regain consciousness. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors reported severe damage to the left side of his brain, indicating a grave situation.
On November 1, 2024, Bao peacefully entered the Lord’s Embrace at the age of 18, following a massive stroke that led to brain death.
Born on September 21, 2006, in a vibrant city in Vietnam, Bao Chi Nguyen's journey was extraordinary. His mother, who became pregnant in her 40s, faced numerous warnings about the potential risks, yet she remained determined, placing her faith in God. Bao's arrival into the world was a true blessing, marked by remarkable intelligence and a gentle spirit that touched many lives, embodying the extraordinary possibilities that faith can offer. At the age of four, Bao immigrated to the United States with his family. After spending four formative years in Orange County, California, they moved to Dallas, Texas, in 2014.
His intelligence and empathetic nature made him a steadfast support for friends and family alike. Bao was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
